The UK General Election is taking place next week, on Friday 8th May, and is likely to affect all UK residents and businesses in one way or another.
The Guardian is running a Poll Projection, updated regularly for people to check who is winning the race in their constituency. Britain is becoming a battleground in a lead up to the election, with several different regional battles between Labour and the SNP in Scotland, Conservative and UKIP on the east coast and Labour vs Tories in England.
As we approach the election, Conservatives and Labour remain neck-in-neck as the leading parties and with support for the two parties equal, is there still time for a change? Between 10% and 20% of people across the different polls say they haven’t decided how they will vote yet, so perhaps there is.
As always, polls are a snapshot of the public opinion at any one time and there are a number of factors that can contribute to the actual results being different to the predicted results. The parties will continue to communicate their manifesto and campaign messages over the coming days in an attempt to win more votes on May 8th.
